A visit to 'Shankodhara' My findings during my visit in extreme low water
with minus tide are as follows 

a) There appears to be a manmade wall of dressed stones 

b) The fresh water spring temple in the sea is visited by many people c) No
worth while find was there at the spot visited. 

d) The place has an abundance of conches/shankh. 

PS. continental shelf is very shallow and range of tide is high.
