Neem is well known for its therapeutic uses from time immemorial in Indian literature. This evergreen tree also constituted an integral part of human ecosystem in India. Because of its multispectrum usefulness in almost every aspect of human activities, this wonder plant has recently drawn attention of various communities of people viz., Physicians, Scientists, Industrialists, Environmentalists and Farmers ete. world wide. In the current thrust on
sustainable development,the use of natural products has assumed great significance. With its tremendous potentialities, Neem can be applied in combating not only the ancient diseases but also the modern age human stress of disease syndrome in nature.
